My name is Kyara and I would love to share with you my little beauty: Miss Teal! Miss Teal is the pocket Baroque that I bought from Lady Filo. I absolutely adore this little filo! She is darling. I use her mainly as a wallet and as a daily journal. Her color is a true teal: very rich and deep. The leather is so smooth and soft…even softer than my purple personal Malden!
I honestly find myself using Miss Teal more than my Malden. I mean…just look at this little beauty!
I have her stuffed with goodies! I really didn’t need to do that much decorating due to her natural beauty. My cards do make her a bit bulky, but the generous snap closure makes it possible for me to fit everything I need inside.
The only thing I notice about the closure is that the pen loop attached gets in the way a little: it tends to bend some pages and tabs. I don’t mind though!
When I got her in the mail from Lady Filo she came with these inserts:
- Information page w/ reference pages and class schedule pages
- Week on 2 pages, lined, from 2012-2013
- To-do lists
- Note paper
- Address pages
- Transparent fly leaf, top-opening envelope, and two rulers (clear and black)
- 6 black numbered tabs and a set of A-Z black tabs
She came with other goodies that I use elsewhere just because they were gifts from Lady Filo. I won’t show you those just in case some of you are receiving any gifts from her with your Filofax (if you’ve bought one).
Now the most exciting thing about Miss Teal isn’t her smooth outer skin: it’s the inside! She has this amazing embossed pattern inside her…and it’s all completely real leather! My pictures won’t give her much justice…but rest assured, she is simply divine!!
Lets take a look at my set-up:
The left side of the planner has 5 cards slots, 3 full-length pockets and 1 zipper pocket. I have some of my business cards, rewards cards, and some cards from Lady Filo in the card slots. In the first horizontal pocket I have a little envelope that holds my coupons. The zipper pouch holds my change and the other 2 full-length pockets hold some sticky flags and some notes that need to be transferred into my “To-do” section!
I don’t have my flyleaf in the beginning; instead I’ve put a picture of Miku in the top-opening envelope as a front cover. I can easily put sticky notes on the envelope if need be so this doubles as my dashboard.
Section One: Diary:
My first tab is where I have my dairy pages. These pages are really nice because they are lined! I just dot down my thoughts on how my day went and any important things that happened that day. On the back of the photo of Miku I made a Washi Tape Collage of all the washi tape I used throughout Miss Teal. I also have my two favorite quotes: “Never Give Up” and “Dance in the rain”.
For all my tabs that you will see I just used some Miku stickers I bought at a flea market near by in town and washi tape.
Oh! And the black little pen you see, I have no idea what kind it is! My mom bought it for me as a gift after I set Miss Teal up.
Section Two: Personal Information:
My second tab is where my personal info is: all my favorite things, my address and such, and other personal information that’s all about me. I use an Oli magnetic clip from the Container Store to hold any future diary pages together.
Section Three: Lists:
This section contains all my lists of things to-do. All my reading lists, wish lists, shows I need to watch…gifts I want to buy for people…all that stuff is written in this section. I use my flyleaf in this section on which I stick my “Shopping List” sticky notes on. I use the clear ruler to mark my current list of to-do’s.
Section Four: Notes:
I use this section every single day. I find myself jotting down all kinds of notes about random stuff! I put this section in here just so I could use all 6 tabs, but I honestly use this section the most! Never knew I had so many things to remember or plan out! I use the black ruler to mark my current page of notes. I put some washi tape over “Today” because it’s not necessarily used to mark the most current note I wrote…but for the most current page of notes I’m reviewing. Does that makes sense? Lol
Section Five: Addresses:
Self-explanatory section. I put all my important addresses in here just in case my phone crashes. This has come in handy at work when I have to call someone but I can’t remember his/her number and I’m not allowed to bring out my cell!
All the A-Z tabs are pretty much decorated in the same design: just with different stickers.
Section Six: Cards:
Here I have two card holders (which hold 4 cards each), a zipper pouch with some sentimental items and a cute paper clip that I got with Miss Teal, and another top-opening envelope. I use this for little notes and quotes.
(Please excuse my mom’s Domino in the background. Filofax photo bomb! Hehe). In the back pocket I have some more sticky flags and this is where I will keep my cash when I take some out (if I ever do). I will probably take these out because they add more bulk and I haven’t used them yet. You can see her pattern better here X3
She really is the perfect Filofax for me. I might change the order of my sections later on, but as of now she is really helping me out! I thank Miss Filo so very much for selling her to me: she was worth every penny! She fits perfectly in my bag and even more so perfectly in my hands!
I’m so happy I got the chance to share her with all of you. I hope you enjoyed the tour and I’m sorry if the pictures aren’t top quality (buying a proper camera is on my to-do list!). I highly recommend purchasing an organizer from Miss Filo if you find one that you like. Mine came in perfect condition and I could tell she was well taken care of. I wrote some feedback on the feedback page, so be sure to check that out! I am definitely one happy customer :3
Thank you again and keep planning everyone!
Thank you so much Kyara for you lovely post! I really enjoyed seeing Miss Teal again!
